END OF YEAR PERFORMANCES

May 2016

Dance and Music Academy produces two different performances in May to showcase the talent and hard work of its students: our SPRING RECITAL held Saturday, May 14, 2016 and our STUDIO SHOW held, Sunday, May 15, 2016. All dance classes and eligible musicians (at least 2 years of study at DMA) will perform in the Spring Recital. All first year musicians will perform in the Studio Show along with any other musicians that opt for the Studio Show. Discretion of the music teacher will decide which show is most appropriate for each child. Participation is encouraged, but not mandatory.

*There is no fee or rehearsal for the Studio Show on May 15, 2016.  The Studio Show will be held at Dance and Music Academy.

Spring Recital
The Spring Recital will be held Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center. 

Your child's dress rehearsal will be held on stage at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center on one of these dates:  Monday 5/9, Tuesday 5/10, Wednesday 5/11, Thursday 5/12, or Friday 5/13. Dress rehearsals are mandatory.  Dancers should arrive in full costume/hair/make up.  Musicians should dress up for the actual performance but do not need to be dressed up for the rehearsal unless they move on stage (vocalists).  Students will have one dress rehearsal per lesson that is performing in the recital. 

Recitals last approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.

*There is not a recital fee for families, however, tickets are sold to cover theatre expenses including
theatre rental, stage staff,and professional sound and light technicians. 
Accounts will automatically be charged for 2 tickets in April.  Additional tickets will be available for purchase in May. 
Tickets are $9 in advance or $10 at the door on recital day.
